Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Med Surg PRN
About the role
As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
- Works closely with registered nurses to ensure patient needs are met.
- Assists with medication administration and documentation.
- Performs basic life support and other emergency procedures as needed.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements
- Current Tennessee or compact state LPN license.
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition & Stabilization (PEARS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- I.V. competency preferred with intent to obtain within 1 year of hire.
- Handle With Care (HWC) preferred.

Pay
Commensurate with experience.
Schedule
2x12 per 6 weeks; 7a-7p; 2 weekends per quarter; 1 major and minor holiday per year.
