About the role

As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
  • Works closely with registered nurses to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Assists with medication administration and documentation.
  • Performs basic life support and other emergency procedures as needed.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Requirements

  • Current Tennessee or compact state LPN license.
  • Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition & Stabilization (PEARS) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • I.V. competency preferred with intent to obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • Handle With Care (HWC) preferred.

Pay

Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

2x12 per 6 weeks; 7a-7p; 2 weekends per quarter; 1 major and minor holiday per year.
