About the role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides nursing care as directed by an RN, including gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures for patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner. Responsibilities align with PAM Health’s policies, procedures, and guidelines. Additional related duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care under the direction of an RN on the unit.
• Collect and report patient data.
• Execute physician orders and perform therapeutic procedures.
• Ensure care is appropriate for the patient’s age and population group.
• Adhere to PAM Health’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state where the hospital is located, or compact licensure if applicable.
• Current BLS certification (AHA-approved) required within 90 days of employment.
• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if mandated by state regulations.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
