About the role
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides appropriate nursing care under RN direction, including gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, performing therapeutic procedures, and other assigned duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN.
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out medical orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age‑ and population‑appropriate manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state of employment (or compact licensure if applicable).
- Current BLS certification (AHA‑approved) required; must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Current IV certification required within 90 days of employment, if mandated by state regulations.
- One year of inpatient medical‑surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
