Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Long Term Care (PRN)

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• May administer medication.
• Documents patient care given.
• Aids RN in developing the plan of care.
• Aids patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Maintains vigilance over patient’s status and reactions to interventions, communicating with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Requirements

• A current Tennessee Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification at the time of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Proficiency in patient care documentation.
• Knowledge of basic medical procedures and medications.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Pay

Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

12-hour shifts as needed.
