About the role
Deliver licensed practical nursing care within the LPN scope of practice, as defined by the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, for residents. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to promote the well-being, health and safety of residents in a person-centered, long term care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including hygiene, feeding, and medication administration.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor residents' health status and report changes to supervising nurses.
- Document resident care in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Licensed in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse with no restrictions, and in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, or ability to be certified by date of hire.
- Computer skills sufficient to complete electronic charting, specifically in PointClickCare.
- Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and keep clear and accurate notes and documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long term care or other senior healthcare environment.
- Experience working with Veterans.
- Effective interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships.

$28.01 - $35.83 / hourly PLUS $2.25/hour shift differential for all hours worked after 6:00pm and before 6:00am.
