About the role
The Minnesota Veterans Home-Luverne seeks an LPN to deliver care within the LPN scope of practice, as defined by the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, for cognitively and physically disabled residents in a person-centered, long-term care environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care within the LPN scope of practice, as defined by the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, for cognitively and physically disabled residents in a person-centered, long-term care environment.
- Work an irregular and uncertain schedule, based on the needs of the home.
- Work both shifts and some weekends.
- Perform duties during the day shift from 6:45 am - 3:15 pm and evening shift from 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm.
Requirements
- Licensed in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse with no restrictions and in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross or ability to be certified by date of hire.
- Computer skills sufficient to complete electronic charting, specifically in PointClickCare.
- Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and keep clear and accurate notes and documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or other senior healthcare environment.
- Experience working with Veterans.
- Effective interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships.

$28.01 - $35.83 / hourly
Schedule
Varied, including day shift from 6:45 am - 3:15 pm and evening shift from 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm, with some weekend availability.
