Responsibilities

  • Under the direct supervision of the RN, assist in care planning and treatments for residents and consult with other nursing staff as appropriate, applying knowledge and resources.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills required to care for the resident population on an assigned unit.
  • Review resident medical records to ensure nursing practice provided is within State and Federal guidelines.
  • Document care provided and report changes in resident status to the shift supervisor.
  • Review all referrals for consultation, treatment, or resolution of problems to ensure they are valid and applicable to the documented nurse plans.
  • Seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency levels.
  • Set and implement goals and policies consistent with the philosophy and purpose of FutureCare’s nursing facility.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active LPN license issued in the state of Maryland.
  • 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term healthcare facility is a plus.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to assist where needed.
  • Must possess a current CPR license.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with all personnel, residents, and families.
