About the role
Provides dialysis care and treatment within nursing scope, including patient education and care coordination. Acts as a patient advocate, collaborates with the healthcare team, and ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Performs and maintains proficiency in dialysis procedures.
- Oversees and delegates tasks to staff.
- Ensures proper operation of water room equipment.
- Documents patient care accurately and in compliance with regulations.
- Coordinates care with medical professionals, patients, and families.
- Develops and implements patient education plans regarding dialysis procedures and access care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Effective communication, visual acuity, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Preferred certifications include CHN, CPDN, CDN, or specialty certifications.
- 1-3 years of nursing experience as a home dialysis nurse, with experience in dialysis or critical care.
