Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Continuous Care NIGHTS

Responsibilities

• As an LPN with the VITAS Intensive Comfort Care® (ICC) service, provide one-to-one crisis care for hospice patients whose health challenges require high-intensity, highly engaged clinical supervision for a short period.
• Deliver compassionate, responsive care that elevates patients’ quality of life and relieves caregiving pressures on loved ones.
• Spend most of your time caring for hospice patients wherever they call home—private residence or assisted living/skilled nursing facility.
• Work in shifts of eight to 12 hours, helping patients remain in a comfortable, familiar setting while receiving palliative treatment.
• Every day is different; every minute counts.
• Once a week, visit the local program office to meet with an interdisciplinary team (social workers, physicians, chaplains, nurses) who collaborate to provide holistic support for patients and families.

Requirements

• Hold a valid nursing license.
• Have at least one year of hospital nursing experience.
• Provide reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate commitment, compassion, and a can‑do attitude.

Pay

Salary Range: $21 - $26 / Hour

Schedule

• Shifts of eight to 12 hours.
• Once‑a‑week visit to the local program office for interdisciplinary team meetings.
