About the role

Summit Medical Group of Clinton is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join their practice. This is a full‑time position.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations/procedures according to the provider’s preferences.
• Record vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.) with accuracy.
• Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, etc.
• Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications, and conduct patient education.
• Handle phone nursing duties, including triaging, pre‑certifications, referrals, and calling in prescriptions.
• Perform clerical duties necessary for patient flow, such as contacting patients regarding test results.
• Pull and prepare patient records for physicians as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments efficiently using clinical time slots.
• Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas daily.
• Adhere to company policies, corporate compliance program, and state/federal regulations (OSHA, HIPAA).
• Follow site‑specific protocols and expectations.
• Provide professional, courteous interaction with co‑workers, management, and the public.
• Maintain strict confidentiality internally and externally.
• Participate in site‑level Quality Improvement activities and contribute to performance evaluation and improvement.
• Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor, site manager, physician, or administrative staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional vocational or college credits required.
• Current Tennessee license in Practical Nursing or national certification in Medical Assisting (CMA/RMA) required.
• Clinical experience required.
