Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Centerpoint Family Medicine

About the role

Centerpoint Family Medicine, located at 1520 Boonesboro Road Winchester, KY 40391, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as supervised and delegated by a registered nurse.
• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• Aids patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Maintains monitoring, documentation, and communication of patient’s status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Documents patient care given.
• Administers medication.
• Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Obtains insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.

Requirements

• Current LPN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Good standing with the Board of Health Professions.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits, and healthcare background (preferred).

Pay

The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position is full-time and works Monday - Friday, 8:00a-4:30p.
