Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN

Role Overview

This position involves delivering high-quality nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for evaluating patients/residents, contributing to assessments and care plans, administering medications and treatments, and supervising unlicensed staff to ensure effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients/residents and report changes in condition.
• Assist with nursing assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered.
• Supervise and monitor care provided by unlicensed staff.
• Deliver efficient, effective nursing care to improve clinical outcomes.
• Ensure patient and family satisfaction through attentive care.
• Adhere to physician orders and facility protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved practical or vocational nursing program.
• Currently licensed or pending licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Maintain current BLS/CPR certification as required.
