About the role

Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board's BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center provides urgent behavioral health services, including crisis intervention, therapy, medication management, and suicide prevention.

Responsibilities

• Medication ordering/dispensing, administration and documentation (including controlled substances and methadone when applicable)
• Routine physical and mental health nursing assessments
• Supportive counseling during care encounters
• Intake and follow-up interviews
• Maintain inventories
• Complete required records and reports

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited LPN nursing program
• One year of medication administration experience in substance abuse treatment, psychiatric care, or long-term care (including dispensing narcotic medication)

Pay

$52,278 + $2.50/hr

Schedule

Three shifts available: 7 am to 3:30 PM with rotating weekends, 3 pm to 11:30 pm with rotating weekends

Shift Differential

Sign-On Bonus: $3,000
