Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the role

VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS) is seeking Full-Time Day Shift and PRN Licensed Practical Nurses at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna, DE.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses.
• Responsible for tasks, activities, and functions as delegated.
• Makes assignments of duties to others as defined in their state of practice act.
• Makes patient monitoring as directed by the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Director of Nursing (DON), Registered Nurse (RN), or Medical Director or another practitioner.

Requirements

• Must be available for at least 3-6 weeks for onsite training.
• Available for Day, Evening, and Night shifts.
• Shift differentials apply for Day, Weekend, Evening, and Night shifts.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Delaware.
• Experience in correctional health care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule

• Full-Time Day Shift.
• Full-Time Night Shift.
• PRN (must be available for at least 3-6 weeks for onsite training).

Pay

• Day Shift: $4.50.
• Weekend (Sat/Sun): $4.75.
• Night Shift: $3.50.
• Evening Shift: $3.00.
• Night Shift: $3.25.
