About the role

Oxford Clinic for Women, a Partner Practice of Together Women’s Health (TWH), is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their clinical team.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high quality, individualized, goal-directed care for all patients and their families through the nursing process.
  • Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Supports patients, friends, and families physically and psychologically.
  • Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and prepares them for physicians.
  • Takes vital signs, records medical history/symptoms, ensures medical chart/lab test results are available and complete.
  • Prepares patients for and assists with examinations or treatments.
  • Communicates follow-up appointments, ancillary and/or pre-operative testing and scheduling to patients and office coordinators.
  • Provides education and information to patients and family members.
  • Consults with other specialties and disciplines as appropriate to meet all health care needs of patients.
  • Uses organizational skills to effectively complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Cleans and stocks all patient examination rooms; cleans and prepares instruments for procedures; keeps a list of needed medical supplies.
  • Completes paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, FMLA, etc.
  • Counsels patients concerning lifestyle modifications, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions using an appropriate psychosocial communication level.
  • Understands and enforces standard health care regulatory requirements.
  • Performs office procedures including all general administrative duties.
  • Documents electronic medical record (EMR) all medical interventions.
  • Affirms HIPAA and OSHA compliance.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as an LPN.
  • Current CPR certification.

  • Associate's or bachelor’s degree, or higher.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care.
  • You are a team player, dedicated to doing what it takes to support your team members and get the job done.
