About the Role
We are looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide exceptional care to our residents. Join our team of healthcare professionals and receive comprehensive training, support, tools, and equipment to deliver the highest degree of quality care. You will work alongside a team of nursing care professionals, including a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing, and Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the clinical care and quality of life of residents while ensuring all resident rights are protected.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
- Check residents daily to evaluate their physical and emotional status and ensure prescribed treatments are properly administered by nursing personnel.
- Keep the RN Supervisor informed about resident status, staff, and related matters.
- Implement recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
- Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, colostomy and drainage bag care, and collecting specimens (blood, sputum, urine) per facility policies.
- Complete all required record-keeping forms/charts for resident admissions, discharges, and transfers, and file them appropriately.
- Give and receive nursing reports at the start and end of shifts.
- Investigate complaints and grievances, and report findings orally or in writing to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
- Maintain a professional image through dress, behavior, and speech.
- Adhere to all facility policies and standards.
Requirements
- Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- A caring and compassionate personality and demeanor.
- Leadership and mentorship skills.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
