About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position at Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is a rewarding career opportunity. This role involves providing care for patients with behavioral health disorders ranging from adolescents to the elderly. The LPN/LVN works under the guidance of a Registered Nurse and implements therapeutic interventions developed by the treatment team.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to patients on assigned unit.
- Administers and documents prescribed medications and treatments.
- Establishes therapeutic rapport with the patient, provides support, and utilizes approved crisis intervention techniques.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college of nursing.
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience preferred, but not required.
- New Graduates accepted.
- Age-Specific Competencies: Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.
- Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of South Carolina.
- CPR/CPI Certification Required – provided upon hire.
