Job Summary

Parkway Care and Rehab in Edwardsville, KS. is seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. The position offers a competitive salary of $27 to $31.90 per hour with a $2/hr CARES differential.

About the Role

This rehabilitation nursing position plays a crucial role in the clinic, providing comprehensive care to residents while adhering to physician orders, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed monitoring of residents' conditions and needs
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders
• Ensure adherence to narcotic policies and procedures, reporting any adverse effects
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report them promptly
• Manage and supervise nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to ensure care plan implementation
• Complete accurate documentation and manage admissions and discharges
• Inspect residents for signs of neglect or injury and report findings
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements
• Support the team's mission of providing exceptional care and building positive relationships

Qualifications

• Kansas Board of Nursing licensure
• CPR certification
• Confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing (preferred but not required)
• Trustworthiness and respectfulness towards others
• Dependability, professionalism, and teamwork
• Enjoyment in serving and caring for seniors
• Ability to establish rapport and effective communication skills

Work Schedule

The full-time LPN works 3 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends, with schedules including 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am.
