Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the role

Colby Health and Rehab in Colby, KS is seeking a full‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a dynamic and caring clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ conditions and needs.
• Follow physician orders to administer medications and treatments.
• Ensure narcotic policies and procedures are followed; monitor for side effects and report changes.
• Oversee nursing assistant‑registered (NAR) staff to ensure resident care plans are followed.
• Complete documentation, admit and discharge residents.
• Report bruises, skin tears, or signs of neglect.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements and facility policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure with the Kansas Board of Nursing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Desire to work with the elderly.
• Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.

Pay

Competitive hourly wage of $33.00–$35.46, plus a $3,000 sign‑on bonus.

Schedule

Full‑time position with 12‑hour shifts from 5 am to 5 pm. Schedule provides three‑day weekends every other weekend, never more than three consecutive workdays, seven days off every 14 days, and averages about two hours of overtime per week.
