Responsibilities
LPNs provide direct physical and emotional support to children in residential treatment for mental/behavioral health concerns. Nursing staff participate in children’s care as part of a multidisciplinary team. LPNs perform initial and ongoing assessments; coordinate medication management care; conduct nursing education groups; respond to physical wellness concerns of residents. Nursing staff act as consultants with direct care staff and doctors in assisting with the physical wellbeing of our children.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas
- Minimum age 21 years and at least 3 years older than the oldest resident
- Valid driver’s license and meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency or personal vehicle to transport clients
- Driver’s insurance
- Eligibility for credentialing
