About the role

The Jamestown Healing Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their integrated care team. This position supports primary care services for Healing Clinic patients in a collaborative outpatient setting that combines primary care, dental, behavioral health, and opiate use disorder treatment services.

Responsibilities

  • Support primary care services for Healing Clinic patients
  • Perform patient triage, venipuncture, EKGs, wound care, and medication administration
  • Conduct CLIA-waived testing and assist with chronic care management
  • Room patients, obtain vitals, and document patient history
  • Absorb and assist with clinical procedures and treatments
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and health maintenance
  • Cross-train to assist with medication dispensing and substance use disorder treatment services
  • Collaborate closely with providers, medical assistants, behavioral health staff, and support teams

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Knowledge of professional nursing practices and patient care standards
  • Understanding of medications and treatment approaches for chronic medical conditions and substance use disorders, including methadone and buprenorphine
  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with patients who may exhibit challenging behaviors
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality regulations
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Ability to maintain all required vaccinations for employment
