Essential Functions
- Affords assistance to Medical Providers, other Nurses, and Medical Assistants with patient care.
- Prepares patient rooms, trays, and patients for examinations based on the type of visit.
- Follows established processes and procedures during patient visits, including recording vital signs, performing procedures, and administering medications as directed by the provider.
- Completes all necessary documentation for patients, including historical information, vaccination records, chief complaints, procedures, patient encounters, phone calls, referrals, education, medication details, and follow-up notes.
- Maintains inventory and keeps the storage supply closet organized, adhering to infection prevention protocols such as hand washing, room cleaning, biohazard disposal, and sharp container monitoring.
- Communicates with patients regarding medication requests and completes internal processing forms promptly.
- Supports the management of quality and productivity standards, contributing to schedule utilization, jockeying, and other patient-related activities.
- Travels as needed to fulfill operational requirements.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Kansas.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinic or hospital environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of infection prevention protocols and healthcare policies.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
