Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Summary

The LPN will provide support to students with various health needs under the direction of the district licensed school nurse and special education supervisor. Duties include assisting with health screenings, hearing and vision screenings, third party billing and related documentation for special education.

Qualifications

• Active LPN licensure in the state of Minnesota
• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• Current CPR certification
• Experience with epilepsy, type one diabetes, tracheostomies, g-tubes, and associated medical equipment is preferred

Experience and Skills

Provides ongoing observations in regards to students' health conditions and communicates updates to the licensed school nurse and/or parent. Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with students, parents, and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Works independently under the supervision of the licensed school nurse and special education director.
