Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the role

We have openings for Per Diem Days and Nights at Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a family-owned business since 1955, now in partnership with Eastern Maine Health Systems and First Atlantic Healthcare. LPNs work under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing and record all resident interactions to develop thorough documentation about their care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident’s vitals and record them in their file
• Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each resident, including bathing, feeding and dressing
• Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication
• Update resident records in a confidential manner
• Evaluate the resident’s wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff
• Explain treatments and procedures to resident and families
• Change dressings and bandages, ensuring residents are healing properly
• Move residents from wheelchairs, beds and gurneys

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Currently licensed as an LPN in Maine

Pay

Hourly rate starts at $28.00 and increases with experience
