We have an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Kansas City Vascular & General Surgery, part of HCA Healthcare.
About the Role
Kansas City Vascular & General Surgery Group is an integrated, multi-specialty surgical practice committed to providing high-level surgical expertise in a compassionate manner. We work closely with patients, families, and doctors to ensure all questions are answered and concerns are addressed. Our surgeons perform a wide range of procedures including laparoscopic, general, vascular, oncologic, and robotic surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exams, instructing on sample/test collection, and obtaining vitals
- Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments and instruct on medications and treatment instructions
- Manage patient records including chart entries and posting lab/test and examination results
- Schedule tests and treatments including arranging referrals to specialists and obtaining pre-authorizations as directed by providers
Qualifications
- A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
- Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations.
