Join Our Team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care and support to individuals living with mental illness or developmental disability. The LPN works as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals we serve.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• One (1) year of experience in medication administration in a substance abuse treatment, psychiatric setting, or long-term care facility, including the dispensing of narcotic medication

Requirements

• Must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test, and employment reference checks

Pay

• BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center: $52,278 annual + $3,000 sign-on bonus
• Hampton Roads Clinic: $25.13 per hour (part-time)
• Residential Service: $52,278 annual + $3,000 sign-on bonus
• Adult Outpatient Services: $52,278 annual + $3,000 sign-on bonus
• Note: Current H-NNCSB employees are not eligible for the sign-on bonus

Schedule

• BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center: 3 pm to 11:30 pm with rotating weekends
• Hampton Roads Clinic: Part-time 4:30 am – 11:00 am, weekends and holidays
• Residential Service: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, with rotating on‑call responsibilities
• Adult Outpatient Services: Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑4:30 PM
