Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care within the scope of licensure.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and health information.
• Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed.
• Auxiliary in examinations and clinical procedures under supervision.
• Collect specimens, perform wound care, and manage dressing changes.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and lifestyle practices.
• Accurately document patient care in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Maintain vigilance over patient conditions and report changes promptly.
• Maintain infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for coordinated, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current CPR certification (if not included with BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for specialty clinical assignments.
• Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience within the past three (3) years.
• Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, medical-surgical, emergency department, telemetry, or critical care preferred.
• Proficiency using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation software.
• Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Excellent critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
