Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About the role
The Embassy of East Mountain in Wilkes-Barre, PA is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide direct nursing care to residents. The position requires a caring and compassionate team-oriented approach, with newly increased wages, referral bonuses, and great health benefits.
Responsibilities
- Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants.
- Ensure all nursing personnel comply with policies and procedures.
- Review and update department policies and procedures.
- Plan shifts' services, programs, and activities.
- Maintain the Daily Census Report and submit to the Business Office.
- Complete accident/incident reports.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
- Order medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary.
- Review and correct medication cards.
- Administer treatments and check resident’s physical and emotional status.
- Implement and maintain nursing objectives and standards.
- Inspect treatment areas and monitor seriously ill residents.
- Provide professional services such as catheterization, tube feedings, suction, dressing changes, and range of motion exercises.
Requirements
To be considered, applicants must have a valid LPN license, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to patient care. Previous experience in long-term care facilities is preferred.
