About the role
The Southwest Montana Veteran's Home is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their skilled nursing facility. They are dedicated to providing high-quality care and value their LPNs for their contributions.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) care for residents
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician and in accordance with facility protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation, charting, and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies
- Support and implement individualized resident care plans while respecting resident dignity, preferences, and rights
- Observe residents closely and report significant changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to the interdisciplinary care team
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality resident care
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by Montana required
- BLS certification from the AHA required
Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficiency in administering medications and treatments
- Knowledge of long-term care practices and regulations
- Excellent observational and reporting skills
