Dennett Rehab Center is a 99-bed skilled nursing facility in Oakland, Maryland, dedicated to enriching the lives of residents and patients through a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. We seek a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team of healthcare professionals.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver safe, timely, and effective nursing care to residents under the direction of an RN or physician. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, timely, and effective nursing care to residents under the direction of an RN or physician
  • Monitor patients' health, administer medications, and provide wound care and other treatments
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
  • Support residents and their families with education, comfort, and reassurance
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards
  • Follows the plan of care as developed by the RN staff nurse, MDS Coordinator(s), or RN members of the Nursing leadership team
  • Observes safety policies and reports any safety concerns
  • Demonstrates respect of resident rights and dignity
  • Fulfills the role of charge nurse when assigned
  • Supervise and support Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) in the delivery of care
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for residents
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA policies
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and staff meetings

Requirements

  • Active LPN license in Maryland
  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred — new grads welcome!
  • Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a heart for service
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
