About the role
Provide bedside care to patients including personal hygiene maintenance, record vital signs, collect health information, and relay details between patients, registered nurses, and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Give oral medications and injections to patients
- Test a patient’s blood sugar levels
- Perform urinary catheter insertion and care
- Assist patients with personal hygiene
- Monitor for changes in patients
- Complete charting, documentation, and maintain patient medical records
- Ask clarifying questions when in doubt
- Act as a role model for ancillary personnel
- Maintain confidentiality of patient clinical records
Requirements
- Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification
- Current LPN license in the state
- Exceptional staff training and customer service skills
- Compassionate and friendly demeanor
