In addition to 24-hour Registered Nursing staff, we have a full complement of Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants who deliver high-quality nursing care to each of our residents. Our services include post-surgical care, IV infusion therapy, respiratory services, wound care, peritoneal dialysis, pain management, restorative nursing, dementia care, and hospice care. We promote continuing education for our nursing staff through online and in-house programs, and we collaborate closely with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to tailor care plans to individual goals.

  • Prepares, administers, and charts medications and treatments
  • Takes temperatures, pulses, and blood pressures
  • Aids in the admission of new residents and familiarizes them with the new surroundings
  • Helps prepare residents for special treatments and examinations
  • Converses with and checks residents to ensure their comfort
  • Discusses resident therapies, medications, and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Cleans and disinfects nursing equipment
  • Makes room checks and answers call lights
  • Assists residents with hygiene needs
  • Passes out food trays and feeds residents
  • Attends resident care conferences, staff meetings, and nursing conferences
  • Performs related work as required or assigned

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Prior experience in a nursing home or hospital is preferred but not required.

Success Factors: Strong knowledge of the principles, methods, and standards of professional nursing; experience in health care, sanitation, hygiene, and medical treatment; ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate records; ability to apply therapeutic treatments as prescribed; ability to supervise nursing assistants; ability to work cohesively with physicians, nurses, attendants, residents, and the general public; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and assignments; strong communication skills both verbally and in writing; computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Lift 50 pounds from floor to waist and 20 pounds from waist to shoulder. Carry 50 pounds for up to 20 feet. Push/pull 60 horizontal force pounds for 10 feet.
