Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the role

Briarfield Health Care Centers is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join their teams across Mahoning & Columbiana Counties. They offer 9 locations with various skills and shifts (4, 8 or 12 hours).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services to residents, while promoting the highest level of well-being, as directed by management.
• Direct the day-to-day functions of Resident Assistants (RAs) in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern long-term care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Focus on providing high quality service.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' and prospective residents' information.
• Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Demonstrate excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities.
• Makes prompt and accurate judgments with regard to elder care and emergencies.
• Works and communicates effectively with minimum supervision in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have Nursing Degree from an accredited program or college/university.
• A current, unencumbered, active Ohio LPN license.
• Must have current CPR.
• At least one year experience in Elderly Care preferred.
