Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the role

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team. We are a leading private duty nursing company that provides compassionate home care services to children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Assess patients’ needs and document observations accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during care delivery.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.

Requirements

• Maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification (with hands-on component).
• TB skin test (current within last 12 months).
• Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills for electronic documentation.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Shifts available include full-time, part-time, and PRN options, covering days, nights, and weekends.
