Job Summary

We are seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our dynamic care team at Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. As an LPN with our organization, you will provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the RN and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident
  • Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under your care
  • Follow physician's orders and render and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders
  • Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately
  • Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness
  • Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
  • Visit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs
  • Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary
  • Administer medication according to procedure
  • Maintain an accurate and safe control of all drugs for which you are responsible
  • Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary
  • Demonstrate correct safety techniques
  • Respect and take care of facility equipment and not wasteful of supplies
  • Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions
  • Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations
  • Comply with facility Privacy Practices Policies & Procedures, protecting residents' individual health information
  • Continue growth and expand job knowledge
  • Demonstrate leadership skills

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state
  • A minimum, one (1) year experience in a hospital, long-term care facility or other related health care facility is preferable
