About the Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse you will be responsible for providing quality professional health services, including:
- Medication administration
- Routine medical assessments
- Daily triage of illnesses and injuries
- Record documentation and review
- Health screening and health education for children and adults in our Children and Adult Programs
Work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Assess the health care needs of each individual. Work in an interdisciplinary team environment. Implement policies and procedures regarding medical, dental, dietary, pharmaceutical services and nursing practices in accordance with agency and regulatory standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality professional health services
- Administer medication
- Perform routine medical assessments
- Triage illnesses and injuries daily
- Maintain and review health records
- Conduct health screenings and provide health education
- Assess individual health care needs
- Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team environment
- Implement medical, dental, dietary, and pharmaceutical policies and procedures
Requirements
- Must successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical, and drug screen
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program
- Current LPN license to practice Nursing in the state of Florida
- Minimum of one year experience as an LPN
- Prior experience providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Pay
$26/hour (Per Diem - Hours vary)
