About the role
Nestled conveniently near Route 8 in Torrington, CT, Wolcott Hall Nursing Center is a boutique-style skilled nursing facility with 58 beds. Renowned for its outstanding community reputation, our center prides itself on fostering a warm and familial atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently plans and provides professional care while aligning with the needs of residents and the changing medical landscape.
- Maintains professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff.
- Documents crucial information related to resident care accurately and comprehensively.
- Administers prescribed medications and oversees accurate record-keeping in line with facility policies.
Requirements
- Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse).
- In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Collaborative team player with previous experience in long-term care preferred.
Additional Expectations
- All LPN positions require weekend on-call availability to support both staff and residents.
- Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
Pay
Starting Pay: Competitive rates up to $35 per hour, based on experience.
