Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises nursing assistants
• Administers medications
• Completes required documentation
• Maintains patient confidentiality
• Performs professional nursing services such as catheterization, wound care, and IV care
• Fosters a warm and collaborative environment
• Coordinates with physicians
• Ensures safety protocols are followed
• Maintains effective communication with residents, families, and staff
• Assists in all aspects of a resident’s daily life
• Communicates with clinical leadership when needed
• Approaches and cares for residents with dementia
• Takes on other duties and assignments

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current unencumbered state license
• Knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices & procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred
• Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
• Competent in organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Physical Demands

• Sit, stand, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the workday
• Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Cope with the mental & emotional stress of the position
• May include health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility
• Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Sign on bonus available for full-time evening and overnight shifts only, subject to terms and conditions, and minimum hours worked.
