About the role
As an LPN at Glendive Medical Center, you will provide direct patient care and assist in coordinating treatment plans under the direction of Registered Nurses and healthcare providers. This position offers exposure to multiple areas of nursing, allowing you to broaden your experience while contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care consistent with physician orders and established standards
- Monitor patient status and report changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Assist with development and implementation of patient care plans
- Support patient and family education efforts
- Participate in emergency and urgent care situations as needed
- Promote patient safety and infection prevention practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Assist with delegation and oversight of support personnel activities
Work areas include ER, ICU, Med/Surg, OB, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, and Transitional Care.
Schedule
Full-time, three 12-hour shifts; rotating day/night shifts every 6 weeks; weekend and holiday rotation required.
Requirements
- Current Montana LPN License or compact multistate LPN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team
- Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Training or experience in behavioral health or crisis intervention
