Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 1st SHIFT. 12 hour shifts!

About the role

The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

• Passing medication and completing assessments and treatments
• Documenting the provision of these services
• Occasionally participating in activities of daily living care or assisting the Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to the residents
• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
• Ensure adherence to current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility
• Participate in activities of daily living care or assist CNAs as needed

Requirements

• A valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of North Carolina or a compact license allowing practice in North Carolina
• Long-term care experience
• A positive attitude and bedside manner
• A love for working with people

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a licensed practical nurse program
• Current CPR certification
