About the role

Administers nursing care in a personal care home environment under the supervision of a registered nurse. Oversees and supervises the job activities of the Personal Care Attendants, Charge Aids, and the Personal Care Coordinator when Nurse Care Manager is not on site. Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements are met in addition to facility policies and procedures. Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of the residents.

Responsibilities

  • Works well individually and as a team member
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patient/family units
  • Reads and interprets policies and standards
  • Provides strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention, documentation, and evaluation
  • Cares for an elderly population of patients/family units of all ages, a variety of cultures, and/or persons occasionally exhibiting stressed behaviors
  • Operates clinical equipment, computer, and telecommunications devices

Requirements

  • Current LPN license in the State of Georgia
  • Current CPR & First Aid certification required
  • 16 hours annual In-Service Training required by the Department of Community Health
  • Three (3) years of experience in an assisted living facility setting preferred

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
