About the Role
Support patient care on a 30-bed acute care post-operative unit, assisting with monitoring, assessment, and treatment of medical/surgical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
- Gain advanced knowledge of acute trauma, surgeries, and diagnoses.
- Build teamwork through shared clinical experiences.
- Assist physicians and registered nurses.
- Help manage patient ratios of 5-6 patients per nurse.
- Develop critical thinking skills in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
- Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to a respectful work environment.
- Completion of a 12-week orientation with a trained preceptor/mentor.
