Licensed Practical Nurse, Home Care Team 3, Full Time, Day

About the Role

To provide direct patient care and function as an integral part of the nursing team under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Perform selected procedures in accordance with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Completion of the Agency’s Orientation Program of the Valley Home Care.

Requirements

• Current and valid NJ license and CPR certification.
• Current and valid driver’s license, registration, inspection sticker, and appropriate level of insurance coverage (including collision).
• Adherence to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 108, including maintaining an acceptable driving record for the duration of employment as long as driving remains a job responsibility.

• Ability to use critical thinking skills to set priorities, effectively problem-solve, and perform work accurately with attention to detail, often shifting between tasks without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions, including emergencies, and adapt to changes in workloads and schedules.
• Competence in stressful situations related to patient needs (e.g., working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, those who are dying, and patients of varied age groups).
• Ability to work cooperatively with healthcare team members, patients, family members, and coworkers.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.

Pay

Pay range: $30.82 – $38.53 per hour.
