About the role

Kapi'olani Medical Specialists (KMS) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our compassionate team at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children. This position provides care to patients of all ages under the supervision of physicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in providing care to patients in accordance with standards of practice and training for a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Provide compassionate and sensitive patient care and communication skills.
• Deliver high-quality healthcare to Hawai‘i’s people.

Requirements

• Current Hawai’i Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
• One (1) year recent Licensed Practical Nurse experience in area of specialty or successful completion of area specific training program.
• Knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT)/International Classification of Diseases 9th edition (ICD-9) coding.
• Experience with online medical software systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a licensed practical nurse program.
• Passing score on the NCLEX-PN exam.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
