Licensed Practical Nurse - GI Specialists
About the role
The LPN position is available at Saint Luke's GI Specialists Overland Park location. It is a full-time day shift position from 8am to 4:30pm, with no weekends or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Supports assigned providers and clinic patients following established standards and practices.
- Provides professional nursing care including patient care, nursing triage calls, patient education, prior authorizations, in-basket messages, prescription refills, and other duties as assigned.
- Screens walk-in patients and performs telephone screenings using protocols.
- Provides medication/injection education and other duties as assigned.
- Works in a team atmosphere and autonomously.
- Absorbs Medical Assistant duties as needed.
Requirements
- RN MO and KS required.
- BLS Required.
- Clinic experience or some GI experience preferred.
Qualifications
- KS & MO LPN License required; dual licensure within 90 days of start is contingent on offer.
- Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year Licensed Practical Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS), Licensed Practical Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
