Licensed Practical Nurse - Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing nursing services for the unit, following the Nursing Practice Act, under RN supervision.
• Delegate duties to nursing staff and monitor work performance.
• Observe patients for symptoms or reactions indicating adverse changes in physical or mental condition.
• Notify physicians of emergencies and patient death, and implement changes in orders as instructed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid license from the appropriate state nursing board, with renewal proof biennially.
• Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ability to deliver quality patient care, follow medical orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certification annually, and participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
• Background checks and adherence to a drug-free workplace policy.
