About the role

The LPN II implements nursing care for assigned patients. They assist the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care. The LPN II utilizes advanced skills in patient care after education and training.

Responsibilities

• Implements nursing care for assigned patients
• Affords assistance to RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care
• Utilizes advanced skills in patient care after education and training

Requirements

• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications
• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing, or meeting educational requirements as outlined by the Florida Board of Nursing
• Thirty (30) hour IV certification
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within ninety (90) days of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Mandatory Education: Preferred Education
• Required License and Certs: BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR, FL LPN: FL Licensed Practical Nurse
• Preferred License and Certs: Varying days of the week/12 hour night shifts/6pm-6:30am/Holidays and weekends required
