Hiring range: $56,115.00–$77,439.00 (Pay Band 3).

Evening shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.

About the role

Licensed Practical Nurse at the Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation (VCBR), Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services. Location: Va Center for Behavioral Rehab. Agency website: www.jobs.virginia.gov.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to SVP adult residents within scope of licensure under the supervision of an RN.
• Administers medication and treatments and evaluates patients’ response as defined in policies and procedures.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment using the least restrictive measures necessary.
• Upholds the rights and dignity of residents and their families at all times.

Requirements

• Clinical knowledge of principles and practices of practical nursing, medication administration, psychiatric disorders, and developmental processes.
• Ability to implement planned nursing care and provide guidance to other staff.
• Ability to work shifts, including overtime hours or shifts as required to provide care.
• May be exposed to aggressive residents.
• Current Virginia LPN licensure.
• Experience working in a forensic setting (preferred).
