Licensed Practical Nurse DSD

About the role

DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services team. This role involves providing comprehensive dialysis care to patients in skilled nursing facilities, focusing on safety, comfort, and hygiene during treatments.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of your day in direct patient care to ensure safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
• Work closely with dialysis RNs to provide dialysis care.
• Work 3-4 days a week, with possible travel to cover other SNF clinics as needed.
• Be available to work alternating Saturdays.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
• Deliver care to patients who are often dealing with multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and leveraging a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
• Use your mind constantly to plan and monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.

Requirements

• Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• IV certification required if required by state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire required.
