About the role

Provide direct patient care in a dialysis setting under the supervision of a registered nurse. Perform tasks such as preparing dialysis machines, monitoring patients during treatments, and assisting with patient education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis machines according to manufacturer’s guidelines and hospital policies.
• Maintain sterile technique during patient care activities.
• Monitor patients during dialysis treatments and report any changes in condition to the supervising RN.
• Assist patients with their dialysis treatments, including positioning, hydration, and medication administration.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Wisconsin.
• At least one year of recent dialysis nursing experience.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred but not required.
• Experience with patient education and counseling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Proficiency with dialysis equipment and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
